| Springfield is the area that lies between Cannock Road and Wednesfield Road just as you head out of the city centre. It's not exactly my favourite part of town, and has the somewhat grim feel of the urban inner-city combined with industrial decay. Nowhere is this more apparent than at the Springfield Brewery, a once fine landmark that had become a crumbling, burnt-out ruin. Hopefully the proposed revival of the building will aid efforts to regenerate the area as a whole. |
